Have you ever heard of “A BOY SITTING IN THE EXAMINATION HALL COMES TO KNOW THAT HE IS IN LOVE ” ?
I don’t think you have ever heard of it.. and never you will…
What’s your first and immediate reaction?? you must be thinking ” During exams everyone’s concentration sticks to his/her answersheet
whether he or she is studious or not . What would have been the reason behind it?? What would be reason which made him aware that
he was in love??
Let me tell you whole stuffs and uncurtain the story.
Like every exams Pops Andrew(Boy’s name) went for exam. Clock rang and answer sheet along with question paper were distributed among
the students.Exams started and everyone was writing papers. Suddenly in the mid of exam period ,a girl whose name was Rose Collins stood
and said to Invigilator ” I am not feeling well.I want to leave.” Then invigilator had a chat with her and then given permission to leave .
She went out of the examination hall. Pops was sitting in the same examination hall .As soon as he heard that Rose was not feeling well
and she had left the exam something happened to him, his hands began to creep and he was not able to write anything more . He was just
thinking about Rose . He was not able to concentrate on his answer sheet rather he was thinking about Rose . Many questions started
to come into into his minds. Why was he not able to write ?? Somehow he was able to attempt all the questions . In the meantime one
thing came to his mind ” Am i in love with her?”
His heart was saying “Yes” but his mind was contradicting the same .
Let me take into flashback.
Rose and Pops had been spending good time with each other. They were like friends. Both had goood mutual understandings between them.
Sometime they used to have fight but after fight they didn’t feel well and soon got patch up. They used to help each other in problems.
One thing more was that Pops used to respect her very much and used to tell her ” You always make me learn many things . Your every
sentence give me some lessons. Even when we are in some fight your memories let me learn something. You are my teacher. But you have
some flaws. You are responsible formany positive changes in me.”
She used to reply ” unbelieveble , someone respects me so much .It is quite Awesome. I would like to know my flaws.”
By listening those lines from Pops, Rose didn’t have any feeling that Pops was in love with her as he always used to make her remember
that they were just friends neither more than that nor less.
Sometimes Rose used to ask him ” are you in love with me?”
Pops used to reply ” No.”
Both used to take care of each other.Slowly Rose became very close to Pops . This way they spent their two years . But two months before
exams they had some misunderstandings and frequent fights due to which they were not in touch .They used to talk very less now.
Pops got a lot changes in his life due to Rose . He became a good boy from a normal one.
Remember This the above part and come out of flashback.
After completing his papers , he went outside,rang her number and asked ” What happened to you ?? are you alright?”
She replied” a feeble fever and little headache. Don’t worry i will be alright by tomoorow.”
Pops said” take care of yourself and get well soon.”
Next three days she didn’t come to give exams as she was still not alright and all the three days he was just doing formalities of writing .
His eyes used to search Rose and mind was praying for her well-being. After coming out of exams he used to ask her ” how are you ?”
Every time she used to reply ” I am recovering and i guess i will be coming tomorrow”.
Whole day he used to be lost in her memories . He was in love.
After three days she came to appear in exam and then he felt quite relief. That day he went to Rose and said:
“HEY ROSE ,
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN MYSELF. I DON’T KNOW WHEN DID I FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU .
I CAME TO KNOW WHEN I WAS GIVING EXAM THREE DAYS BEFORE WHEN YOU SAID THAT YOU WERE NOT FEELING
WELL AND THEN HAD LEFT THE EXAMINATION HALL….
HEY CUTEE BIRDIE ,WILL YOU ACCOMPANY ME AND GUIDE ME THE WAY IN BEAUTIFUL FLIGHT OF LIFE …
YOU KNOW I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU …
AFTER YOU CAME IN MY LIFE , IT GOT MANY UPGRADATIONS …..
IT SEEMS AS IF EVERYTHING WAS PRESENT YOU JUST ARRANGED THEM AND HAS GIVEN SOME SHAPE…

She didn’t reply instantly .Pops was just waiting for her reply – not caring about any exams . He used to send her many emails in those
7 days expressing his love and care.Here is one of them:
” HEY DEAR ,
HOW ARE YOU ??
HOPING YOU ARE ALRIGHT.
YOU ARE TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF NA….
I AM QUITE WORRIED B’COZ
SOMEBODY DREAMS ABOUT YOU
SOMEBAODY CRIES FOR YOU
SOMEBODY CARES FOR YOU
SOMEBODY PRAYS FOR YOU
SOMEBODY IS WAITING FOR YOU…….
I KNOW ALL THE STUFFS
AS IT’S ME WHO IS THINKING ONLY ABOUT YOU ,YOU AND YOU.”
Whole week he was just thinking what would be her reply(yes / no)?
After the last exam he got one mail . That mail was from Rose .
She said ” obviously no.”
The same instant Pops called her and asked ” what sort of things you don’t like in me?”
Rose(loudly as if talking to enemy): i don’t like anything about you. Please stop torturing me with your emails.
Pops: We will be talking in future na?
Rose(very harsh voice):no.
Pops: Can you tell me any of things you don’t like??
Rose(angrily): I told you na i don’t want to talk to you . In which language should i speak?
Pops:ok.
After sometime again he called her .
Pops : May i utter my last request ?
Rose: now what?
Pops : May i send at least one mail in month?
Rose:No.
Pops was totally depressed as he was thinking ” was that the same girl with whom I had spent some good time for last 2 years? How can
a person get so change ? Is this her real face? ” Many questions like that.
Rose Collins was in relationship with someone else but she never told Pops about him . She didn’t want to make him known about him.She
didn’t want anyone to be so close to her that proved to be any hurdle for relationship with her boy-friend.
Pops Amdrew was totally in some sort of mental trauma . Her sentences and rude behaviour were still haunting his mind.
It was quite obvious for him as they had spent two years with each other merrily.
He was still feeling that she was good from her heart but her behaviour and his mind were contradicting the same.
She didn’t give a single reason for why she didn’t want to talk to Pops . She didn’t tell him a single thing which she didn’t like in him.
After exams were over he went to his nearby house . Some questions and some sentences were still haunting his mind. He was still having the
same feelings for Rose. He was not able to concentrate on anything. He was not even having food regularly due to which his health was
deteriorating slowly.
While playing cricket he was not able to hit the ball out of park . Those deliveries which he used to send for six were hitting his chest and forehead.
He was not able to catch the ball.
In football also he was not having control over the ball. Due to his careless performance he was give the place of defender . But he was there
also making the same mistakes . Due to this he ws thrown out of football team.
Now come the turn of rugby , after holding the ball he used to be lost in memories of Rose (her smile , her talks…..) due to which oppositions
used to snatch the ball quite easily. He was asked to take rest and go to some psychiatrist .
He used to be lost in her memories and in search of some questions which were haunting his mind like why did she change her behaviour?
why did she not even think before saying that she didn’t want to him?? Many more.
He spend his stay at home like that way. He had gone through many sleepless nights.
He was knowing everything that she would not be talking to him anymore. But still he was sending mails to her.
After he joined classes his conditions had gone bad to worst as he used to see Rose daily but couldn’t talk to her. Whenever he used to
see her talking to some other boys he used to be very much angry but never did anything bad to anyone.He continued to send her mails but
in reply she used to say him that his mails were quite irritating and torture and always told him not to send anymore.
He used to think that could it be possible that his love proved to be torture and irritation her?
Once he had uttered all the bad things and flaws of Rose to her in sheer anger , but as soon as he realised that what he had said
he should not have said, he said sorry and sent an email of apology.
I am asking you “Is her behaviour towards him a bit tolerable and morally correct?” If you are saying yes this means you are lying to
me and yourself. For a moment put yourself at the place of Pops Andrew .
On one hand he was going down and down while on the other hand she was enjoying happy life and spending quite a memorable moments
with her boy-friend. Pops was not knowing anything about her boy-friend.
It seemed as if he was drowning in love the same way we have taste of eclairs . If you would have tasted Eclairs slowly you can understand
the pleasure . Same pleasure he was enjoying but his other works were just like the way he had left before proposing her. His life was slowing
down .Everyone was busy with his/her stuffs . It seems as if for him clock was stationary and not able to move. For him , it seemed as if he
he had his last talk with Rose last day and daily he used to go for classes in a expectation that he would have a talk with her and she would
tell her why she behaved with him like that and uttered that type of sentences. Perhaps due to that reason he had been sending her mails .
On the other side ,Rose was just getting more and more irritated day by day due to which she once told him to go away from her life and
leave her alone .
On reply he said ” ok anything for you. I will try my level best to go from your life as soon as possible.”
Rose was happy that he got free from his so called irritating mails.
After few days , he sent her a mail writing following things:
” HEY ROSE
I STILL HAVE THE SAME FEELINGS FOR YOU,
I KNOW THAT YOU DON’T LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT ME,
AND YOU HAVE ALREADY SAID NO TO ME,
BUT STILL I AM NOT ABLE TO FORGET YOU,
YOU KNOW ME VERY WELL,
I DUN HAVE ANY CONTROL OVER MY HEART,
NOW IT DOESN’T MATTER TO ME,
WHETHER YOU HATE ME, DISLIKE ME,
CURSE ME OR ABUSE ME,
YOU KNOW I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU,
BUT MY LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER DIE,
I LOVE THE WAY YOU TALK , YOU LAUGH,
U GIGGLE, U GET ANGRY,
I DON’T WANT TO FORGET YOU….
AS YOUR MEMORIES ALWAYS SPLITTER SMILE ON MY FACE,
YOUR MEMORIES SPASH PLEASURE IN MY LIFE,
YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE TWO TIMES,
WHY DID YOU GET CHANGED,
CAN’T WE JUST CONTINUE AS FRIENDS…
WELL I AM GOING VERY FAR FROM YOUR LIFE …
YOU WILL NEVER GET ANY EMAIL OF MINE ….
SORRY FOR IRRITATING YOU…
IN ANGER I HAVE SAID MANY BAD THINGS ABOUT YOU SO I AM FEELING QUITE BAD AFTER THAT
SO IF POSSIBLE FORGIVE ME…..”
Next day he went away and never seen again. Those friends who knew all the things related to him tried to find him but he was nowhere
found.(Due to his carelessness in every field of life some of his classmates forced him to utter everything happened to and with him. As when
they came to know that he had asked his parents to change his college , they became quite tensed.)
They didn’t informed his parents about what had happened to him as they were quite sure that he would soon be fine and be leading a happy
life.
After Rose came to know that he had left the hostel after that conversation between them she was quite tensed as she was also a classmate of
Pops but she was not feeling any sort of shame that due to her someone’s life is getting bad to worse .

You know life is not like bollywood films that watching such pathetic conditions Rose would come and try to console or
help Pops Andrew.
Well at that time only Rose could help him but she was busy with her own life and she always had told him “Why should i listen to all
your rubbish things and sayings? Why should i care about you ?”
He knew that he had to move on but watching her daily and just be able to remain looking at her. Nobody could be able to forget anyone
in that way.
He decided to give it a rest and went for its solutions to his closest friends.
Firstl he went to his closest one of college Shas Rocks.
He asked Shas for any solution.
Shas: Listen bro . You need to move on as there are many other things in life important to care about. You have to do better for
those who love you.
Pops:I have trying for last 7 months and you know what has been my condition….Yar i also love but she never cared about me.
Shas: leave her pursuits and do whatever you want. You know one more thing that she has been spreading many bad things and having bad
talks about you among her friends.Leave that fucking bitch.She is nowhere in comparison with you. She has nothing to boast off.
Pops: hey don’t say anything bad about her , I love her.
Shas(angrily): You know this is fucking bullshit. What sort of human being are you?? She has never respected you and your feelings and still
you are not ready to listen anything bad about her.Your life is getting ruined due to her. You have been losing many things and still you are
having the same feelings for her.Now i don’t have anything to say . If i can do anything for you ,it would be my goodness.
Pops: That’s because I love her more than myself.Whatever be her attitude and her behaviour my feelings don’t gonna change for Rose.
(a little pause)
I am going to meet my childhood friends so till the time i don’t give a call of my return you just don’t tell anyone about where i am going.
Shas: ok. but come soon and take care of yourself.
Pops: obviously bro.
He went to meet his two childhood friends (Nancy and Pattrick).
He went to Nancy first.
Nancy: After so long we are meeting. How is life going ??
Pops(with very weeping voice): Fine.
Nancy: But with your voice , nothing seems to be fine.
Pops: Umm… Have some probs…
Nancy: What sort of probs…??
Pops utter all the stuffs and asked her why did she behaved that way???
Nancy: There must have been some problems with her or some personal reasons….
Pops : So she should leave talking to me ?? …. i have never been rude to her… why did she do that to me ???
Nancy: You are being obsessed about this matter…
Pops: Why should i not be like that?? She was once my friend and now she didn’t want to look at me…why ?? I have been loosing many things …
Nancy: Hey listen i am third person and i can’t really help you in this matter…
Pops: Ok . I am leaving….
He was quite depressed…
Now last hope was Pattrick … and he knew that he won’t be coming empty handed from Pattrick…
Pattrick: Hey Pops good to see you bro… How has your guitar , football,rugby and other stuffs been going ???
Pops(slow voice): Good …
Pattrick(without any time lag reacting):you are lying…
Pops: you always caught me ….
Pattrick(with a sweet smile): I am your best friend man… that much i shold know….
Pops: I am in love…
Pattrick: So, did you tell that lucky girl ??
Pops: ya.
Pattrick: She said yes na..
Pops: Obviously no.
Pattrick: What ?? Is that girl mad?
Pops: She said “obviously no”.
Pattrick: So what go for another one.
Pops: I can’t . you know that i can’t be a playboy.
Pattrick: So what will you do?? remain weeping throughtout your life. I know you very much.
Pops: It has been seven months i am starving.
Pattrick(angrily): bullshit…. tell me whole matter from very beginning.
Pops uttered all the stuffs.
Pattrick(almost about to beat Pops): Have you gone mad?? You have been facing for last seven months and now you are coming to me.
You haven’t done good to you and our friendship.(He then didn’t utter anything sentimental as he was getting what Pops had faced.)
He then asked about Rose .
He uttered everything he knew about her .
Pattrick: Hey your love is very much true. But i couldn’t understand why did she say no to you.
Pops: Its her life . It is she who would decide what to do and what not do.
Pattrick: Right you are. But you have to move on.
Pops: You know me i am a sportsperson. I don’t give up so easily. I have been trying for last seven months when i find myself helpless then i
come to you.
Pattrick knew that it was time to give Pops as much energy and motivation was he could.
Pattrick: Listen one thing don’t try to forget her .Just try to focus on other important works .Just leave the dreadful part and enjoy the
cheerful part. You wouldn’t be able to forget her as she will be infront of you for next two years.
Pops: I think you are right .I will not try to forget her. Instead i will try to make myself busy and enjoy that feeling of love whenver i will
be sitting idle. I will not be talking to any girls.
Pattrick: NO bro . You should not do that. You should talk to other girls.All girls are not like her.
Pops: Right you are.
Pattrick: But remember you are a sportsperson and fighter. Tears are made for coward not for brave fighters like us .You have to come with
flying colours. Whenevr her memories try to stike you , put a pretty rose in front and start expressing your feeling in the form of guitar beats.
You will feel better. Listen one thing i know you are not a playboy so it would be very difficult for you to go for another girl, so remain
loving her .Love her to that much extent that she will feel proud of herself that a person like you fell in love with that normal girl.
(He knew that she had deeply made her place in his heart . He knew that it was the time who could give him moral support.)
Pattrick:You know you have to ameliorate yourself for those who love you. For a moment think that what will be going on your parents’ when
they would hear about your present conditions . You must have seen your friends worried due to you watching you starving and dying daily.
Pops: What you are saying is 100% right but i love Rose Collins – she didn’t care about me.
Pattrick: That’s the difference between you and Rose. You care about those who love you and she doesn’t.
Pops: Hmmm…
Pattrick: Think that you will not be able to forget her and she won’t be even looking at you and start concentrating on the other important works.
Put the thought in your mind that you are A lone warrior and try to be Cool Combatant.
Pops: Now i think i can be back on track.
Pattrick(he knew that how much difficult was that for Pops but he was trying to motivate him): Whenevr you find , ring me .
I will help and always remember what i ahve said to you .
Pops: Obviously bro.. But a a a …
Pattrick : But what ??
Pops: Yar i can’t see her in probs… She has many flaws and many care she needs. Who will take care of her ?? and many such things are more.
Pattrick: In this case you can’t do anything except praying to god as she is not ready to talk to you.
They spent some good times with each other and then Pops Andrew left for his hostel.
He went to hostel . He had changed to some extent. Everyone was happy that he came back . Now he was trying to concentrate on other stuffs.
He tried and succeeded to certain extent but many a time found diffficult to concentrat and whenever he felt difficult , those sentences from
Pattrick helped him a lot.
He was not able to forget her and he didn’t try to forget her. He was still feeling the same thing for Rose Collins. Have you ever tasted Eclairs
?? If it is tasted very slowly and with feel , very much pleasure it gives.
The same pleasure he was enjoying but that was of his true love.
Pops after completing his studies went home and continued his life.
But he remained single for whole of his life as no girl was ready to live with the person in whose heart someone else was living.
It happens only in Bollywood films that knowing everything any person gets ready to be with that person who is in love with someone else .
You know in practical life it’s quite deadly hard to forget that person for whom you have such type of feelings and it is quite ridiculous to
think that Rose would come and console Pops. It only happens in Bollywood Films that give HAPPY ENDING.
Let come back to story .
The man Pops Andrew decided to lead a normal life being single .He then went for social welfare.He spent maximum part of his wealth for
orphanage ,old people home ,schools for physically handicapped and many more things .The man was happy for serving the human beings who
are quite helpless.
His happiness had reached its peak ,
he was in memories of Rose,
he didn’t let anyone of past moments to leak
from his mind that day, he got for doze,
but who knew that he would dream so deep
that forever he had to sleep.
